Why We Test Every Belt

  1. Strength You Can Measure Our straps are pulled to the breaking point. The result? Leather belts withstand up to 762 N, nylon belts over 10,000 N — far beyond the 300 N industry requirement.
  2. Safe Against Your Skin Every material is screened for harmful substances — lead, cadmium, formaldehyde, azo dyes, phthalates, and more. Our metal buckles pass nickel-release testing, making them safe for sensitive skin.
  3. Built to Last Elastic belts survive 20,000 full stretch cycles. Leather belts show zero cracking after repeated flexing. This is durability you can rely on, day after day.

How We Test

  1. Sample Submission — We submit production belts to Intertek's accredited laboratory.
  2. Physical Testing — Straps and buckles are pulled, flexed, and stretched to their limits.
  3. Chemical Screening — Materials are analyzed for regulated and harmful substances.
  4. Independent Report — Intertek issues an official report with pass/fail results.

Q: What does "Intertek tested" mean?
A: Our belts are sent to Intertek, an independent global testing laboratory, where they undergo physical strength and chemical safety tests against recognized standards (SATRA, EN ISO, CPSC).
Q: Are your metal buckles safe for sensitive skin?
A: Yes. Our metal buckles pass nickel-release testing (below 0.5 µg/cm²/week), meeting requirements for nickel-sensitive skin.
Q: Where can I see the full reports?
A: Each test report is available in full. 
Q: Do you test for heavy metals and chemicals?
A: Yes. Materials are screened for lead, cadmium, mercury, arsenic, formaldehyde, azo dyes, phthalates, and PAHs — all results showed zero detection.
