& Belt Testing

Explore the test results behind four selected LionVII belt models. See what was tested, compare the findings and understand how the results apply to each model.

Results apply to the submitted samples, tested parts and conditions in each report—not to every LionVII product or a guaranteed product lifespan.

02 / METHODS & SCOPE

What the results tell you.

Each method addresses a different property. Keep the test result with its model, sample and conditions.

SATRA TM181:2017

Strength

Tests specific straps, buckles and attachments—not the safe working load of a complete belt.

SATRA TM103:2018

Repeated extension

Tests elastic samples over repeated cycles. The results shown here are before heat ageing.

SATRA TM102:2018

Useful extension

Records extension measurements. 98.2% and 87.0% are not comfort scores or Pass/Fail ratings.

QB/T 5246-2018

Flexing

Records the leather sample’s condition after 500 flexing cycles—not its service life.

Chemical testing, with the scope made clear.

The four chemical reports record Pass for the items actually performed within the specified AFIRM RSL Level 1 scope. The tested components and panel vary by product.

Examples of included items

Formaldehyde, selected heavy metals, phthalates, PAHs, dyes, AP/APEO, organotin and other report-specific items. pH and nickel release apply where listed.

How to read “Pass”

The relevant test item met the report requirement. It does not mean every substance was tested, every component had a separate result, or all values were zero.

Outside this test scope

PFAS and flame-retardant testing were not included. A nickel-release Pass is not a zero-nickel or allergy-free guarantee.

04 / QUESTIONS & SUPPORT

Questions about your belt?

Which LionVII models are covered?

This report set covers B0D28Y6Z4P, B07P9LCSLF, B07DP5T3FN and B0DPDKY6DS. Results apply to the corresponding submitted samples and are not automatically extended to other models, colors or batches.

Does 20,000 cycles mean 20,000 days or uses?

No. It is a laboratory repeated-extension result, before heat ageing, for the submitted elastic samples. Conditioning was at 23±2°C and 50±4% R.H. for at least 48 hours; testing used the same environment. It is not a consumer-life estimate.

Is a strength result a tool-belt or safety rating?

No. Component strength results are not a whole-belt rated load, lifting rating or fall-protection rating. Use a purpose-built product for applications requiring a rated working load.

What is the tested leather belt made of?

The Leather Ratchet Dress Belt uses Premium Leather construction: a leather core with a surface PU film. The chemical report’s component list is not a full-grain or top-grain leather certification.

Does metal-free mean TSA approved?

No. Metal-free construction describes specific plastic-buckle models. These reports are not TSA or airport-security certifications and do not guarantee screening procedures.

Did the chemical testing include PFAS or flame retardants?

No. PFAS and flame-retardant testing were not part of the specified AFIRM RSL Level 1 scope for these four chemical reports.

Are these reports a product certification?

No. They record tests performed on submitted samples under the report methods and conditions. They are not product certification or a guarantee covering every LionVII belt.

How do I match a report to the belt I own?

Compare the model and ASIN on your order with the product references above. For a purchase without an ASIN, contact LionVII with your order details to confirm the model.

Where can I see the full reports?
